Jennifer Schwerin is an award-winning filmmaker with roots in both the American and Chinese film and TV industry.

In the States, Jennifer made documentary films for HBO and PBS and was nominated for an Emmy award for her short fiction video work. In China, she created the first mainland Chinese short films for MTV Asia before becoming the Creative Director of MTV China in the late 90’s.

Taking her expertise in short-format, highly creative content, Jennifer founded TaDaa! Media as a platform to create branded content and original content for new media platforms in China and the world. She has coined the term- ANTI-COMMERCIALS to describe the unique branded content work that she is doing.

Jennifer's current work ranges from feature films , web series, music videos, drama series, performance pieces and unique branded content in both fiction and documentary formats. On her list of clients is P&G, THE BRITISH COUNCIL, MEDIACOM, LEO BURNETT, PFIZER, PERNOD RICARD, FOCUS MEDIA, POLYBANA, CRAIGLIST and INTEL.

Jennifer has created her own curriculum for teaching creativity, and has lectured for various programs on this subject, including a TEDedu talk given in Beijing in November of 2009. She has taught classes in Film Theory, Film Production, and Scriptwriting at various academic institutions, including Loyola University’s Beijing Program. As a leading content creator of integrated and branded content in China, she has been asked to speak at numerous events and institutions on this field as it develops in China and becomes a model for the world.

Jennifer Schwerin graduated from Yale University with a degree in Fine Art and studied film production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She speaks Mandarin as well as her native English.
